Well our legal system is not perfect, but its the best one anyone has come up with so far. OJ is a real piece of work, but the protection against double jeopardy is a good thing.
it really bugs me that he wrote a book afterward called “if i did it”.such a *******. i really think he loves the fact that he was found not guilty and can tell the world he killed them and not get charged because of the thing called double jeopardy

Yeah Fuhrman brought the whole OJ circus to my neck of the woods for a time. But Fuhrman aside, the state had the burden of proof, didn’t meet it, and therefore not guilty was the only appropriate verdict.

The moment the verdict was read, Nicole and Goldman’s spirits must have been really pissed off. But then OJ gets arrested on less serious crimes but accumulated to more serious jail time later in the 2000s. Ain’t karma a *****?

The state screwed up, big time. However, they had the burden of proof and didn’t meet it. Not Guilty was the only appropriate verdict in this case, given the circumstances. Had the state done their job, it would have been a completely different story.
I know the technicalities of the situation. I used to be a criminal justice major and my first law teacher was a criminal defense attorney; but, I’m talking about the morality, or lack there of, in a defense that knows they’re client is guilty. The state really fucked up.
Well considering it was the topic of conversation in the cafeteria at lunchtime, I guess our principal did think he should announce it in case we hadn’t gotten to hear it. I think a lot of the teachers were curious about it too.
Why? They did their job. Its not the defense attorneys job to prove anything. The burden of proof is on the state, and let’s face it, the state did a crappy job. Even if he had been found guilty, the verdict would have been overturned on appeal because the state failed to meet the burden of proof.
